Vetrilai sadam(Betel Leaf ) Recipe
Ingredients
Betel Leaf – 3
Cumin – 1 Teaspoon
Pepper - 1 Teaspoon
Onion – 100 gram
Garlic – 10 nos. (chopped)
Salt – As Required
Mustard – 1 Teaspoon
Bengal Gram – 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder – 1 Teaspoon
Boiled Rice – 1 Cup
Gingelly Oil – As Required
Red Chilli – 3
Lemon – ½
Method
Grind betel leaf, cumin and pepper without water.
Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard, Bengal gram, red chilli, onion and garlic saute well until they to golden brown color.
Add the ground masala powder. Stir well and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add turmeric powder and salt mix well.
Add in the cooked rice and mix well.
Add lemon juice.
Vetrilai sadam is ready.
