Vaalaipoo (Banana Flower) Vadai Recipe
Ingredients
Vaalaipoo (Banana Flower) – 1 Cup
Dhal – 2 Cup
Green Chilli -4
Curry Leaves – Few
Coriander Leaves – Few
Onion – 2
Ginger and Garlic- Few
Fennel – 1 Teaspoon
Oil – As Required
Salt – As Required
Method
Peel the banana flower petals and remove the white small florets inside chopped banana flower.
Soak the dal in water for 2 hours.
Take a mixer jar add soaked dal, ginger, garlic, fennel and salt grind well.
Add green chilli, onion, banana flower, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Mix it well. Wait for a few minutes.
Heat oil for deep frying in a deep frying pan and shape the vada into small flat discs and deep fry until browned and crisp.
Serve hot with coffee / tea!
