Malli (Coriander) Pongal Recipe
Coriander Leaves – 1 Cup
Raw Rice – 1 Cup (soak)
Husked Green Gram – 50 gm(soak)
Green Chilli – 1
Cumin - 1 Teaspoon
Curry Leaves – Few
Pepper – 1 Teaspoon
Cashew – 15 gm
Salt - As Required
Ghee - As Required
Water – 2 to 3 cup
Grind the coriander leaves fine paste.
Heat ghee in a cooker. Add cumin, pepper, curry leaves, cashew, green chilli mix Well.
Add coriander leaves paste. Stir well and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add salt and Pour enough water and bring to a boil.
Add rice and husked green gram.
Close the lid cook for 3-4 whistles.
Malli Pongal is ready. Transfer it to a serving bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.
